Resident Camp
Your home away from home - NCCS Camp Newaygo has a long history of traditions built on caring and excellence. Our foundation of providing exceptional programs in a rustic camp setting for girls, women and families dates back to 1926. Through cabin and unit living, resident campers learn to share and live cooperatively as a group. And at the center of it all is our newly renovated Lang Lodge, including new bathrooms with 16 private showers, and an expanded dining room. There is nothing better than knowing you are part of something special, something bigger than you! At our traditional girl’s resident camp opening campfire when you receive your cabin or unit scarf, tied on in a friendship knot by your counselor, you will feel that sense of community. You will become a part of a tradition you can return to year after year.
We feature a beautiful wetland trail, a high and low ropes challenge course, basketball and tennis courts, horseback riding, pottery, sailing, kayaking/canoeing, an archery range, a mile-long waterfront, and many other fun and adventurous activities!
Family Programs
Discovery family at NCCS Camp Newaygo! Our Mom & Me program, offers moms, aunts, grandmothers or other special female adults a memorable opportunity to step away from their hectic life and spend a little quality with your son, daughter, grandchildren, nieces, nephews or other special young person. Have a great time hitting the beach for swimming, boating, sandcastles and fishing, and follow with archery, arts and crafts, bog jumping, hiking, or nature to name a few options. Finish an active day around the campfire singing and roasting s’mores. Spend the night in camp’s newly renovated Lang Lodge or in one of our quaint rustic cabins. Don’t worry about your meals; we take care of all of that for you.
Our Family Camp is a real BUDGET SAVER VACATION. All meals, housing and activities included for one low price. You can’t beat it. Let our trained staff make this a family time to remember. You will have a cabin or dorm for just your family. Boating, fishing, swimming, canoeing and kayaking are all available, along with archery, challenge course adventures, arts, crafts, drama, dress up, and more. There are special things for parents with classes just for you too. Spend your vacation at our family friendly facility instead of a public beach. Our whole facility will be reserved just for our Family Camp campers.
